Meet Our Staff

Many of our staff have helped raise multiple generations of children within the same families, teaching kids who grew up to send their own children to Bethlehem Child Development Center. Our teachers are all highly skilled, experienced, and dedicated to the health and well-being of your little ones.

Kelly Aurand

Director

Ms. Kelly has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Pre-Primary focus. She started as our school-age summer teacher in 2001 and never left, becoming our Director in 2006. She enjoys spending time with her family, spoiling her children, decorating and bargain shopping.

Amanda Richoz

Assistant Director/Infant and Toddler Teacher

Ms. Amanda has worked at CDC since the mid-90s. She is currently our Assistant Director as well as lead teacher in the Infant/Toddler Room.  She has been with us almost since the center opened, and is proud to be a part of our growth.

Debbie Weiman

Substitute Teacher

Ms. Debbie has been a registered nurse for the last 40 years, starting in pediatric care and ending in critical care nursing. After working for our center for 22 years, Ms. Debbie has recently retired. However, she will still be serving as our center’s main substitute. Ms. Debbie enjoys cooking for her family and the CDC staff, but her favorite pastime is spending time with her three grandchildren.

Theresa Michniewicz

Three’s Teacher

Ms. Theresa began working at CDC in 2004. Most of those years were spent with the infants, but she later decided to take on a new challenge and began teaching our two and three year olds. Ms. Theresa's greatest joy is her daughter, Aidan, but she also loves to settle down with a good book–especially during a thunderstorm.

Atiyya Akram

Pre-K Teacher

Ms. Atiyya has been at CDC since 1998. Ms. Atiyya loves kids of all ages, but her passion is teaching Pre-K. She delights in preparing children for Kindergarten and has a knack for utilizing resources from the local library in the classroom. Ms. Atiyya is family-oriented and takes pride in her three grown son's accomplishments. She also enjoys animals and eating spicy food.

Cory Zapata

Infant and Toddler Teacher

Ms. Cory joined our team in May of 2019 and has been caring for our infants and toddlers ever since. She loves watching the kiddos become more confident and independent, blossoming into their own person. Ms. Cory is a big reader, but she especially enjoys dancing in her free time.

Pam Stein

Floating Teacher's Aide/Cook

Ms. Pam has been employed by our facility since March of 2000. She prepares our lunches and snacks, but also serves as a floating aide in the afternoon. Ms. Pam enjoys spending time with family, trying out new recipes, and shopping!

Trista Montgomery 

Two’s Teacher

After working our Stretch N Grow for the past 5 years, Ms, Trista finally decided to join our team in January 2021. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with 15 years of experience. She really enjoys hugs from the kids and watching them learn. In her free time, she likes to go to Six Flags, spend time with family and friends, dance, do photography, and dream big!

Molly Peebles

Floating Teacher

Ms. Molly started with us in June 2021. Her favorite part of the job is forming connections with the children in her class, seeing them learn and change in their unique, special ways and at their own pace. Ms. Molly relaxes by reading, shopping, and binge-watching shows, but always delights most in spending time with family and friends.
