Play

A child's play is their work.  A child is learning when they are dressing up in the dramatic play area or sculpting with play-doh.  During the pre-school years, children are discovering themselves, defining relationships and exploring their environments.

Weekly Thematic Units

Teacher guided experiences are introduced to children through weekly thematic units.  The weekly units incorporate all of the various learning modalities and include the following elements:

-Group Time

-Story Time

-Songs and Fingerplays

-Art Projects

-Fine Motor Skills

-Large Motor Skills

-Sensory Experiences

Chapel

Children not only get the social and cognitive aspects of development here at our center,  but also the spiritual.  While we are a Christian based center, and do not teach any specific beliefs, we feel that it is important for children to clarify their own beliefs, treat others with kindness and respect, build on tradition and appreciate the natural world around them.
